At the heart of their approach is a commitment to providing ample time per subject, ensuring students have the opportunity to dive deep into their studies and grasp concepts thoroughly. The school day, beginning at 7 am and concluding at 3 pm, allows for a balanced and comprehensive academic experience. This extended timeframe enables teachers to employ diverse teaching methods.

Teachers encourage fun, interactive, and hands-on learning experiences that go beyond the conventional curriculum. At SMP Labschool, they believe that by offering both quality time for each subject and a fun learning atmosphere, they are cultivating a generation of students who are not only academically proficient but also enthusiastic and curious learners ready to face the challenges of the future.Their learning materials are provided by the school such as laboratory equipments and modules.

The modules are made by the teachers themselves, anchored with the curriculum of the country. SMP Labschool 3 also use innovation in technologies such as usage of application and websites needed for teaching. In fact, there is an Internet connection available to both students and teacher all over the campus. All of the learning and technology used by teachers are funded by the school itself. The teachers use authentic assessment all the time. They incorporate psychomotor activities and tests all the time to promote active learning and enthusiasm among students.

My teaching plan anchored with the suggested format of the school promotes learning in all aspects of the students specifically literacy, critical thinking, collaboration, communication, and creativity. I made sure that all of the skills are developed throughout my lesson.

In executing my teaching practice, I thoroughly followed to the established curriculum and instructional framework provided by the supervising teacher. The activities I designed were carefully aligned with the allocated time for each subject, ensuring a comprehensive coverage of the curriculum. Additionally, I organized these activities emphasized on the specified learning outcomes and tailored them to suit the grade level of the students, promoting a targeted and effective learning environment. While I encountered some challenges in classroom management attributed to a language barrier, I approached these difficulties with resilience and problem-solving skills.

The successful resolution of on-the-spot issues underscored my adaptability and the practical application of knowledge acquired during my training. Despite the inherent challenges, I am pleased to report that the overall management of the class was effective. Reflecting on my teaching practice, I find satisfaction in the successful navigation of unforeseen obstacles and the achievement of a satisfactory outcome, affirming my commitment to continuous improvement and professional growth in the field of education.

My experience as an exchange student in the role of a student teacher has been exceptionally fulfilling. Firstly, I found that my needs and expectations were met, contributing to a positive and supportive environment for my teaching journey. The well-structured plans provided a solid foundation for the execution of my teaching procedures, allowing me to navigate my responsibilities with precision and confidence.


Throughout this practicum, the outcomes have been transformative, playing a crucial role in shaping and developing my skills, not only as a future teacher but also as an individual. Despite encountering challenges, notably the language barrier, I dedicated myself to overcoming these obstacles by making concerted efforts to understand and communicate effectively with the students. This experience served as a valuable lesson in adaptability and cultural understanding, enriching both my personal and professional growth.


In reflection, I am profoundly thankful and pleased with the overall experience. The supportive environment, structured plans, and transformative outcomes have contributed significantly to my development as an aspiring educator. This journey, with its challenges and triumphs, has left me with a sense of gratitude and happiness, affirming my passion for teaching and the immense value of diverse learning experiences.
